Hiking

Would you like to stay close to hiking trails while also enjoying mountain views? Then you are in the right place. The guesthouse is only 600 metres from the nearest hiking trail. From this strategic location, you can reach the town centre in ten minutes, the Medvědín lift in twenty minutes, Horní Mísečky in twenty-five minutes and Vrbatova Bouda in an hour and a half, while beautiful mountain views are yours to enjoy simply by stepping out onto the balcony or terrace. There is also a children’s playground just above the property, as well as a spacious garden suitable for various sports and for the youngest little guests.

What can we offer you?

1. Route – Miller’s Trails

Miller’s Trails can be found throughout Špindlerův Mlýn and its surroundings, leading through peaceful areas of Krkonoše nature away from traffic routes. They are especially suitable for families with children, who will enjoy plenty of fun at playgrounds along the way while also learning interesting facts about the local history. All circular routes start in the town park by the statue of the Špindlerův Mlýn miller, approximately a 12-minute walk from our guesthouse, near Hotel Savoy.

The routes are marked according to the miller’s scarf:

2. Route – Vrbatova Bouda, the Hanč and Vrbata Memorial & Dvoračky

This route is one of the most beautiful mountain trips in the surroundings of Špindlerův Mlýn and takes you to the Krkonoše ridges with magnificent views. You can complete the trip in the traditional way on foot, or make the first part easier by taking the cable car to Medvědín. Another option is to use the bus from Horní Mísečky towards Vrbatova Bouda and join the route from there. These options are especially appreciated by guests who want to shorten the initial climb and spend more time on the ridges.

Along the way, you will come across Vrbatova Bouda, the Hanč and Vrbata Memorial and Dvoračky – places that belong among the best-known landmarks of the western Krkonoše Mountains. The route offers open views, a mountain atmosphere and pleasant opportunities to stop for refreshments during a full-day trip.

3. Route - Sněžka

Sněžka is the highest mountain in the Czech Republic and one of the most sought-after destinations in the Krkonoše Mountains. From Špindlerův Mlýn, you can reach its summit in several ways – either by completing the entire route on foot or by making the beginning easier with a bus to Špindlerova Bouda. From there, you continue along the ridge towards Sněžka and, depending on the chosen option, either return the same way or descend via Luční Bouda and Kozí hřbety back to Špindlerův Mlýn.

The variant via Kozí hřbety is one of the most beautiful trips in the area and offers open views, a mountain atmosphere and a stop at Luční Bouda. However, it is important to keep in mind that this is a full-day and physically more demanding route, especially on the return descent back into the valley. Weather on the ridges can also change quickly, so we recommend suitable clothing and enough time for the whole trip.

We believe you will enjoy your stay with us and choose our guesthouse for your holiday.
